Cabure Chocolate Experience

This is an interpretative chocolate tour for someone truly interested in the history of this unique fruit and its special seeds. Visit the Cabure chocolatier, run by a veteran of the Peace Corps who never quite could leave Costa Rica. The tour starts with a demonstration of the chocolate making process and pairs this with a discussion of the cacao bean’s history, from pre-Columbian times until it’s exportation to Europe and the rest of the world.

At the end, sample some truly fresh chocolate. Along the way, dive into the various stages of the chocolate making process and even some of the chemistry involved in converting bean to delicacy.
